En un claro homenaje a la mujer, con una sucesión de pequeñas historias, mostramos la vida íntima de mujeres atrapadas y/o acomodadas en su realidad particular, carceleras o prisioneras del hombre que eligieron para compartir su vida. Sin pretender aportar soluciones, ni mucho menos juzgarlas, nos asomamos tímidamente tras sus cortinas para mostrar lo que ellas no se atreven a contar. Historias de amor o desamor según quien las mire, ya que ¿no será que cada uno elige lo que quiere vivir y como vivirlo? ¿No será culpa nuestra si el camino no lleva a ningún sitio? ¿No será que soñar es más fácil que vivir? ¿No será que ser feliz supone mucho esfuerzo y mucho miedo? En el fondo siempre hemos sabido cual es el camino. Solo necesitamos el valor para crearlo huella a huella, para querer vivirlo paso a paso.
In a clear tribute to women, through a succession of small-scale stories we show the intimate lives of women trapped and/or comfortable in their individual lives, jailers or prisoners of the man they chose to share their life with. Without attempting to offer any solutions or judge these women, we take a peek behind their curtains to show what they dare not tell. Requited or unrequited love stories, depending on who is telling them – after all isn’t it true that we all choose what we want to live and how to live it? Isn’t dreaming easier than living? Isn’t it the case that being happy requires a lot of effort and a lot of fear? Deep down, we’ve always known what the path is. We just need the strength to create it footprint by footprint to live it step by step.
Gestada en 2003, consolidada en 2005, subvencionada en 2007 por el Ministerio de Cultura y, desde 2006, Compañía Residente del Distrito de Chamartín; representada y dirigida por Gemma Morado, bailarina y coreógrafa, “Siempre en Compañía” es la respuesta a una irrefrenable inquietud por contar historias bailando. Hasta el día de hoy, con siete producciones propias en repertorio y dos en vísperas de estreno, la compañía sigue cosechando éxitos.

Set up in 2003, consolidated in 2005, subsidised in 2007 by the Ministry of Culture and since 2006 the resident company in the district of Chamartín; represented and directed by Gemma Morado, dancer and choreographer. Siempre en Compañía is the response to an unstoppable urge to tell stories through dance. The company has seven original productions under its belt and two about to be premiered, and it continues to win plaudits.
